Using Webflow
I am sold out on a SAAS web design & development tool at webflow.com
It is even better than Page Cloud, some designers recommended. Any designer who has knowledge of html and CSS will find this tool pretty handy, and eventually designer should be able to design and publish websites with its tools with minimized aid from developers. The beauty of Webflow also include that you can export the HTML/CSS code and host websites you design outside Webflow.com.
It has been around since 2012. I am still learning how to design a website with its tool. What draws me in is it enables me to design a web page from scratch without remembering all HTML and CSS commands. Those are all available right at its what-you-see-is-what-you-get user interface on the screen.
I believe this is a great approach for me to help you make the stunning slick design for your client’s new project websites. Webflow does empower designers with more flexibility and creative possibilities. I will report to you with more updates on what skills I acquire once I feel I can have more control over my web design by using Webflow.
Before I discovered Webflow, I have struggled with building websites in Wordpress and Square Space. It is not that those 2 tools are not good, but the issues are that: 1) Wordpress needs some plugins to achieve tasks or effects, those plugins could be unstable or not up-to-date, etc. 2) Squarespace sites look great but it is sort of like fill-in-the-blank template, so designers’ creativity is limited there.
Sometime my customers will ask for special effects they see on other sites. I can’t create the similar effects on their sites for them because I don’t have the tools.
But Webflow empowers me with the creative tools to do just what my customers wants. Of course the pre-requirement for a designer to get a handle on Webflow is you need the knowledge of HTML/CSS.
